Mount Puting Bato

Mount Puting Bato is the highest summit in Island Garden of Samal standing at 410 MASL.  Mt. Puting Bato (white stone) is named after the white limestone walls, a prominent feature of the island.

For those who has a limited vacation time but wants to do a dayhike, Mt. Puting Bato is the perfect trail to follow.

The trail jump off towards Mt. Puting Bato is at Sitio Guilon.

The trail is not very difficult and its not as obscured from the sun as others are expecting it.  To those who’ve trekked Galugod Baboy , you guys will find Mt. PB’s ambiance and trail somewhat similar to GB.

The peak gives you a majestic view of the surrounding waters of the Island– seas facing Indonesia and mountains of Davao Oritental.

Jumpshot everyone!
