Admiring “Bogsie’s” work at Cambodia during the Angkor Wat Photo Festival — these are images of the Mangyan tribe that he took from the 90’s till present. His use of film and his transition to digital medium shows his versatility as a photographer. His photographs are powerful images that depict the Mangyan tribe’s struggle against intense militarisation. How will the Mangyans, who have always been in balance with nature, fight against the encroachment of their ancestral domain? “Bogsie”, through his photographs, carry similar questions.
His photographs will remain on display at
École Française d’Extrême-Orient, Siem Reap, Cambodia until January 2015.
