About the Getty Research Institute

The Getty Research Institute is dedicated to furthering knowledge and advancing understanding of the visual arts and their various histories. The Research Library is one of the largest art and architecture libraries in the world, with general collections including almost 900,000 volumes of books and special collections including rare books, artists’ journals, sketchbooks, architectural drawings and models, photographs, and archival materials.

This coloring book is part of #ColorOurCollections launched by the New York Academy of Medicine Library.

About #ColorOurCollections

#ColorOurCollections is an annual coloring festival on social media during which libraries, museums, archives and other cultural institutions around the world share free coloring content featuring images from their collections.

The annual #ColorOurCollections week generally occurs on the first full week of February, when new coloring books are released on this website and shared throughout the week by the participating institutions on social media. The coloring books from 2020 and previous years remain accessible year-round for free download.

Submission Guidelines: 

  • Format: PDF less than 15MB.
  • Multiple pages: Combine into a single PDF. We will accept one PDF file per institution.
  • Cover Photo: Include a JPEG of one of the coloring sheets to be used as the “cover photo” for your entry on this website.
  • Deadline: January 30, 2020.
